What do you decompile from dBASE?

What exactly do you decompile and what version?

What we decompile

We can take any of the following:

  • Standalone EXE, compiled using dBASE V or IV for DOS, which is at least 2.5Mbytes
  • Compact EXE, compiled using dBASE V or IV for DOS, but delivered with separate Runtime Library: dbase.rtl.
  • .DBO, compiled as a single .DBO which may contain any number of other .DBO's, from dBASE IV and V for DOS
  • .DBO, just the simply compiled version of a .PRG as in those from dBASE III+, IV and V for DOS

Included in all of the above can be the .FMO and .QBO's.

We can also carry out some work on dBASEII, but there are complexities to this as these are not compilable.
